A DARLINGTON man is due to be sentenced next month for stealing almost £600 worth of goods from TK Maxx.
On Wednesday (February 16) County Durham and Darlington magistrates convicted Paul Alan Hardy of the theft which happened on December 3, 2021.

Magistrates heard Hardy stole £580 worth of goods from the TK Maxx at Darlington Retail Park off Yarm Road.
Hardy was remanded on bail to appear at North Yorkshire Magistrates' Court sitting at York yesterday (February 17) where he also pleaded guilty to stealing gin, meat, and various deli items worth £148 from Marks & Spencer in Northallerton.
This theft was carried out on September 9, 2021.
Magistrates adjourned the case for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.
Hardy, 44, of North Road Darlington, is due back before York Magistrates' Court on March 16 where he will be sentenced.
A restriction was applied that Hardy must not enter the TK Maxx in Darlington.
