A DARLINGTON man was made to pay over £2,000 in court after fly tipping on Greenfield Way in Newton Aycliffe.
Stephan Paterson, 38, of Cobden Street in Darlington, appeared before County Durham and Darlington Magistrates' Court on February 15 charged with the offence.

Paterson was charged with the deposition of controlled waste on Greenfield Way, in Newton Aycliffe other than in accordance with conditions contained within a current waste management permit.
He pleaded guilty to the offence and was fined £1,000 and was made to pay £100 to victim services as well as another £1,000 in court costs.
