DRIVERS in and around Darlington will have six National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
One of them is expected to cause moderate delays, with motorists facing a delay of between 10 and 30 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:
A1(M), from 8pm November 15, 2021 to 6am June 25, 2022, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A1M northbound and southbound, J56 to J58, carriageway closures and lane closures for reconditioning works.

A further five closures will begin over the next seven days:
• A1(M), from 8pm February 18 to 6am February 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A1M northbound and southbound, junction 58 Interchange lane closures for electrical work.
• A66, from 8pm February 21 to 6am February 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A66 eastbound and westbound, Blackwell to Blands Corner, lane closure with traffic signals for horticulture works.
• A66, from 8pm February 22 to 6am February 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A66 eastbound, Little Burdon to Sadberge lane closure for horticulture works.

• A66, from 8pm February 23 to 6am February 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A66 eastbound, Mad Dog Layby to Long Newton lane closure for horticulture works.
• A66, from 8pm February 25 to 6am February 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A66 eastbound and westbound, Blackwell to Blands Corner lane closure with traffic signals for horticulture works.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
