THERE was an increased police presence outside Darlington’s football ground today.
Darlington FC are playing Chester this afternoon at the club’s Blackwell Meadows ground.
There have also been reports of disruption involving football fans in the town centre.

A group of about 25 people, believed to be Chester fans, who were dressed in black and wearing black face masks were spotted shouting, chanting and pushing each other in Skinnergate.
A video of the incident, which has been posted on social media, shows the group walking up the street to shouts of “Chester”, while shoppers look on.
It also shows several scuffles between members of the group.
It is not clear whether any criminal behaviour has been reported.
Durham Police have been contacted for comment.
