CROWDS gathered in moving scenes in a North East town yesterday to remember a two-year-old boy who died in an incident in a bungalow last week.
Around 100 people, including family members and friends gathered yesterday evening with flowers, balloons, candles and cuddly toys.
They were there to remember two-year-old Daniel James Hodgson.
A minute silence was held and young children lit sparklers which they waved in the air to mark the two-year-old’s short life.
One woman said: “This is not about one thing or one person, this is about rallying round as a community and showing our love for Daniel.”
Another of the well-wishers added: “Everyone is heartbroken about what has happened but we are here to show our support.”
Carol Hodgson, 39, has been charged with the boy's murder and appeared in court this week.
