Sam Fender has won Best Alternative/Rock Act at the Brit Awards 2022.
The singer-songwriter, 27, from North Shields, was ecstatic as he accepted his award on stage.
As he took to the stage, he thanked the fans, his band and his manager.
He also gave a shout-out to his North Eastern roots, saying: "I'm gonna completely screw this whole thing up. I had a plan but now I've forgotten it.
"I want to thank the fans, first of all, 'cause you guys voted.
"Thanks to everyone who voted back in Shields and to everybody at the North East Homeless centre who's watching us, who we support and love.
"See you when we get back home."

Fender is also nominated for Album of the Year and Artists of the Year.
On the red carpet before the awards he said: “I love any excuse to come out dressed up like this and have a party. And we got a party bus full of sausages and booze.”
When asked what he would do if he won an award, he replied: “Drive the bus into the Thames… I think we are going to go out and party.”
He also spoke about what his younger self would think if he won an award: “I think he would be sick and I think he would expect us to be a lot more badass than we are.”
