Local reaction

Many of the residents living around the bungalow appear to be elderly and are reluctant to speak.

One neighbour, whose house backs onto the property, said: "I saw a lot of police arriving yesterday but I don't really know what it was about.

"I wasn't expecting them to still be here today."

What happens next

Cleveland Police will continue carrying out investigations into the 'unexplained' death of the two-year-old boy.

It is not known whether police have been able to speak to the woman who was found injured in bungalow.

Detectives will need the result of the post mortem before making a decision on what happens next.
