On January 6, 2021, North Yorkshire Police requested information about who was behind the wheel of the Astra and Ward failed to provide details of the driver's identity.
The speeding allegation was withdrawn, but Ward was charged with failing to give identification details when required and the case was found proven by magistrates this week.
Ward, of Gate House, Northallerton, was fined £660 and additional court costs and charges brought the amount up to £816.
The 19-year-old was also disqualified from driving for two years.
