POLICE have closed the A684 in both directions following a crash - and it may be closed for up to an hour.
Officers say the incident happened at Morton-on-Swale between Northallerton and Bedale.

Emergency services are reportedly in attendance at the scene and police have warned it may be closed for around an hour or so.
Drivers have been asked to avoid the area and find an alteranative route if possible.
*UPDATED* According to North Yorkshire Police the road has now been re-opened following the crash this morning.
Police thanked the public for their patience while they attended the scene.
