PLANS have been unveiled for Teesside's first drive-thru Greggs.
This is the stuff dreams are made of, for pasty-lovers in Stockton anyway.
If approved, it will be just one of a handful of drive-thru Greggs shops in the UK.

A planning application has officially been submitted to Stockton Borough Council for the site, which, if all goes to plan, will be located in Lustrom Retail Park, in Lustrum Avenue.
It is as yet unknown how many new jobs the shop will create, although the application suggests the likely opening hours will be from 6am until 7pm, with reduced hours on a Sunday.

When asked about a potential opening date and new jobs, a spokesperson for the firm said: “Greggs is always looking into new shop locations, while we are unable to confirm anything at the moment, we will be sure to share any information in due course.”
The planning application was acknowledged by the council on January 24, with the decision due on March 22.
The site is an undeveloped rectangular shaped piece of land 2.5 kilometres west of Middlesbrough town centre and 2.5 km north-east of Stockton.

The shop is planned to be located off Lustrum Avenue within Lustrum Retail Park and will be surrounded by other commercial buildings.
The site is currently open space with surface covering of rough vegetation, mature trees, and a concrete slab.
Access to the site is gained from either Lustrum Avenue or off Teesway.
If you pass through Stockton on your way to work and the prospect of grabbing a bacon bun, a flat white and an empire biscuit without having to leave your car has you salivating, you may well be in luck.
