A DARLINGTON woman has been charged by the courts for stealing alcohol and cleaning products from a Co-op shop.

Claire Louise Trainor, 42, of Brinkburn Road, stole £77 worth of the products from a Co-op in Leyburn, North Yorkshre, on December 22 last year.

She pleaded guilty to theft before magistrates and was sentenced at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates' Court on Monday this week.

Trainor was given a 24-month conditional discharge and orderd to pay a total of £107 in court costs and charges.
