VIEWERS of the ever-popular crime hit series, Vera have hit out after a third episode of the show did not air at the weekend.
'Disappointed' viewers were left expecting Brenda Blethyn and cast to return to their usual Sunday night slot, only to see Trigger Point take its place.
The hit show, which sees Blethyn star as DCI Vera Stanhope, had returned to our screens in the first week of January after months of filming.

Part of Series 11, telly bosses previously confirmed that the first two episodes would air in Summer 2021 with the remaining episodes airing this year.
Episodes three and four aired in the first two weeks of January, with no further mention of episodes five and six.
However, fans were left less than impressed on Sunday night as ITV's new Trigger Point aired instead.
Dozens took to social media to share their disappointed, calling and demanding show bosses for the remaining episodes of Vera to air.

One person said: "Can't believe ITV postponed the next episode of Vera to put Trigger Point On!! Quite disappointing really. Will watch 2nd episode though to see if it gets better."
Another said: "ITV has done it again. After scrapping a McDonald and Dodds series for new series Grace, now they are ditching fan favourite Vera for newcomer Trigger Point.
"Shameful, I guess the episodes of Vera will end up in the same black hole as the missing McD&D....."
ITV previously confirmed there would be six episodes in total as part of the eleventh series, which was filmed during the Covid pandemic.
They had always said airing of the episodes would be split between 2021 and 2022 as the cameras continued to roll as the first two episodes were broadcast.
However, ITV has not listed the show in any further schedules with reports suggesting additional work on the "post-production" is needed.
Filming came to wrap towards the end of last year, with scenes in County Durham, Tyne & Wear and Teesside all shot.
