AN appeal has been made afterthe victim of a serious assualt was repeatedly hit on the head and chest with a bike seat.
The alleged assault happened in Darlington town centre on Wednesday, December 29.
A spokesperson for Durham Police said the incident occurred outside Tesco Express on Tubwell Road shortly before 7pm on December 29.
It is believed the victim was repeatedly hit on the head and chest with a bike seat.
Officers are now keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time who witnessed the incident.
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Lewis Crowe on 101 then dial 209243 quoting incident number of December 29.
