A DANGEROUS driving has been given three months to clean up his act before being sentenced.
Callum McPartland took police on a high-speed chase along a busy Middlesbrough road as he attempted to shake-off the pursuing officers.
The 29-year-old drove through red lights and reached speeds in excess of 60mph as he raced along Cargo Fleet Lane on June 28 last year, Teesside Crown Court heard.
Oliver Connor, prosecuting, said police used 'tactical contact' to bring the chase to an end and arrest the defendant.
McPartland, of Scott Road, Middlesbrough, pleaded guilty to two charges of driving over the proscribed drug limit, dangerous driving, driving without insurance and driving whilst disqualified.
John Nixon, in mitigation, urged the judge to defer his client's sentence to enable him to continue working with the probation service following a previous conviction.
Recorder Christopher Williams adjourned the case until April for sentence.
