MORE than £2,000 has been raised to save the life of a kitten who has an 'incredible bond' with his two-year-old owner.
Baby Carrot is a six-month-old Bengal kitten given his unusual name by Theo, aged two.

Sadly Baby Carrot has been diagnosed with Feline Infectious Peritonitis a potentially fatal condition.
There is hope with a course of tablets and veterinary care; however this costs £6,500.
Baby Carrot and Theo, aged two, have a special bond
For Baby Carrot’s owners it is completely unaffordable but an online fundraising drive has raised £2,500 to help.
Helen Leigh, a friend of Baby Carrot's York owners, set up the campaign and said: "His owners Tara, Zoe and little Theo are such humble and kind people that they feel guilty asking for financial help; yet they are heartbroken by Baby Carrot’s diagnosis."
She added: "It is devastating to lose a pet; they aren’t just animals, they are part of our family."
In recent days Baby Carrot has sadly lost weight and has become very weak and fragile so he has started treatment already.
Although the family don't have enough for the full course yet, Helen said this initial treatment wouldn't have been possible without the 'overwhelming generosity' of those who have donated.

She added: "If we hadn't raised enough to start the treatment, Baby Carrot would have passed away within days, so thank you for literally saving his life.
"Unfortunately, there is still an urgency to raise the remaining funds; if we can't afford to continue with his treatment, we will have to stop and it will all be in vain."
Anybody who wants to donate can do so via this fundraising page.
