A CANADIAN Fast Food restaurant is one step closer to opening in Teesside.
A planning application for Tim Hortons which serves coffee, donuts, breakfast and other baked goods has been approved with conditions.
The restaurant will be situated in Stockton's Teesside Park where Frankie and Benny's previously was.
The planning application was approved late last year by Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council.

In the application it states that the council permits the change of use from Frankie and Benny's to a coffee shop/restaurant with a drive thru.
The development will also include parking alterations, alterations to windows and the erection of a service yard.
The restaurant once built will be the second in the North East after one was opened last year in Washington.
