POLICE have issued an appeal following a fail to stop crash.
Officers from Hartlepool CID are appealing for information after a 17-year-old male pedestrian was seriously injured after being in a collision with a vehicle, believed to be a dark coloured Vauxhall Zafira.
He remains in hospital receiving treatment for internal injuries.
The 17-year-old was with a group of other young people on Stockton Road, close to Vicarage Gardens on Thursday, December 30 between 11.05pm and 11.15pm.

The vehicle had been seen just prior to this on a grassed area on Vicarage Gardens, driving towards the group which were running in the direction of Stockton Road.
Police are asking anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam footage to get in touch via the 101 number, quoting ref 221262.
