ACCORDING to recent reports from the CQC there are five care homes in North Yorkshire that have been rated as “inadequate” after inspections.
The reports, which were published on December 1 contain care homes that have been rated in the last four months, with the oldest publication being in September.

The CQC monitors and rates care homes across the country and assesses them on five different aspects such as safety, effectiveness, care, responsiveness, and whether a care home is well-led.
Care homes are then given a rating out of four, consisting of inadequate, requires improvement, good and outstanding.
Below is a list of care homes in North Yorkshire that were recently rated “inadequate” and in the last inspection.
The list contains the areas in which the care home was rated “inadequate” as well as the date of the inspection.

- Ark House, Scarborough, Y011 2LY, (safe, well-led) – 10/09/2021
- Woodlands Nursing Home, Filey, Y014 9QR (Safe, well-led) – 04/12/2021
- A New Angle Ltd, Scarborough, Y011 2QG (safe, well-led) – 12/11/2021
- Northfield House, Thirsk, Y07 4AN (safe, effective, well-led) – 09/10/2021
- Daisies Care Consultants, Skipton, BD23 4NN (safe, well-led) – 05/11/2021
