A MAN was taken to hospital after being found injured in the road.

The injured man, who is in his 40s, was found on Longlands Road, Middlesbrough last night.

Cleveland Police is appealing for information about the incident, which happened at the Ormesby Road junction between 11.15pm and 11.25pm on Wednesday, December 29.

An ambulance crew found the man and alerted police, a spokesperson said. 

He was found lying on the road in the westbound lane.

He was assisted at the scene and taken to hospital.

Anyone who saw the circumstances, or has footage of this area, around these times, is asked to call 101, reference 220686.

Police particularly want to hear from anyone who may have seen a male in his 40s in this area, wearing a black jacket, black ‘Adidas’ brand tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.
