SEVERAL people have been identified and are under investigation over "one of the worst" fly-tipping incidents ever seen in Middlesbrough.
Middlesbrough Council's Environmental Neighbourhood Safety Wardens discovered the dangerous and large scale mess at the site of the former Turford Social Club on Turford Avenue in Brambles Farm.

Among the dumped rubbish, rubble and debris were large amounts of household waste, building materials and household appliances.
Even more worryingly, the load also includes what appears to be specialist waste such as asbestos.
Buildings on the site have also been filled with waste and set on fire.
Unfortunately for the perpetrators, council officers also found several pieces of evidence linking back to individuals in Middlesbrough, Stockton and Redcar and Cleveland.
All of the individuals have been visited and are assisting the council with its enquiries.
Due to the nature of the fly-tipping a specialist waste removal company has had to be brought in to clear the site.
Middlesbrough Mayor Andy Preston said: "We want to send a clear message out to the individuals or company that is responsible for these offences that we will locate you and we will take robust enforcement action.
"This includes seizing vehicles used in these offences and putting you before the court.
"We take all reports of fly-tipping seriously and will leave no stone unturned in investigating - but this is undoubtedly one of the worst we've ever seen in Middlesbrough.
"Fly-tipping is a serious crime that blights the quality of life for the environment and local people.
"Thankfully we are now seeing the results for the work being put in to combat this issue."

Cllr Barrie Cooper, Middlesbrough Council's executive member for environment, finance and governance, said: "I would like to say a big thank you to all the staff who have responded to this.
"Middlesbrough Council will not tolerate anti-social behaviour and fly-tipping of any kind and I hope we can bring the full power of the law down on the perpetrators."
