CLEVELAND Police have issued an update after a major incident in Teesside took place yesterday.
Hartington Road and Yarm Lane in Stockton were evacuated yesterday (Wednesday) after a suspicious item was found.
Police and other emergecny services attended Hartington Road at 9.42am.
A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article.

Residents who were evacuated returned to their homes last night.
A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: "Officers were concerned about an item found at a property in Hartington Road and worked with partner organisations to ensure that the item was safe before allowing residents back into their properties.
"Residents were allowed back into their properties at around 9.40pm and the police cordon was removed at around 10.10pm.
"Thank you to everyone who was affected for their patience and to the agencies who helped to provide refreshments."
The 30-year-old man remains in police custody at this time and police investigations continue.
A bomb squad were on the scene in the area, as well as several police vehicles and the fire service.
