A NEW boutique music festival dedicated to the Dance genre will launch in Northumberland next Summer - offering a line-up of some of the world’s best DJs.
The three-day camping event, which has been termed ‘House of Barefoot Festival’, is set to go ahead between Thursday, June 2 to Saturday, June 4, 2022, within the Northumberland countryside.
As part of the festival, the event will play host to some of the biggest names on the international house music scene, including tech-house pioneer Danny Howells, multi-award-winning Spanish selector Henry Saiz, Bristolian icon Nick Warren and Hernan Cattaneo; one of South America’s most celebrated DJs.

Offering camping, glamping and pitches for caravans and motorhomes, the festival promises to offer a full festival experience, according to the organisers.
The site will feature a stage with a state-of-the-art sound system, street food vendors and several fully licensed bars.
Despite festival director, Jonny Stobart, wanting to move beyond Covid-19 and the pandemic, he has insisted that a limited capacity will be in place for House of Barefoot to give festival-goers plenty of space.
He said: “We want to keep the capacity at a level that means everyone has an amazing overall experience.
“We do not doubt that we will sell out, and we’re sure that people will love the atmosphere and want to return year on year.
“This event is for people to socialise, make new friends, enjoy an array of different styles of house music and most importantly, dance. Our past events have brought together people of all ages - it is all-inclusive.
“This for me is what it is all about; people coming together and enjoying the company of those they may never have had the opportunity to meet."
This isn’t the first time that this ‘House of Barefoot’ style festival has been held.
Organisers held the festival’s inaugural event in May earlier this year, headlined by Nick Warren.
Following the success of its first event, the company hosted another weekender in August, focusing on local talent.
Now, as the festival plans its return in 2022, organisers have expanded the scope and ambition of the festival as it prepares to welcome internationally renowned DJs to its open-air stage.
Mr Stobart added: “This will be the first time that Newcastle has hosted a boutique dance music festival with some of the world’s best DJs on the line-up.
“This is an opportunity for us to sit firmly on a list of special events that aren’t just a night out but three days worth of memories. This will be a once in a year experience not to be missed.”
Tickets for ‘‘House of Barefoot’ go on sale tomorrow (December 17) at 10am and can be purchased via the festival's official website.
