Recognition PR, which is based in the town, organised its own collection and has donated the toys to Shirley McKenzie and David Walbey, from the Salvation Army.
Jamie Collis, partner at Recognition, who presented the toys to the Salvation Army along with the firm’s apprentice Natalie Witterick, who organised the collection, said: “Darlington’s Salvation Army branch does an amazing job in our community supporting families in need throughout the year, but particularly at Christmas, we’re very proud to again support the toy appeal and hope our gifts bring some happiness and fun to the children who receive them on Christmas Day.”
