A DARLINGTON man who defecated in a hot tub has been made subject to a community order after admitting to stalking two women.

David William Miller appeared at Peterlee Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

The 39-year-old admitted two charges of pursuing a course of conduct which amounted to stalking.

One of the offences was committed between October 3 and October 6.

On October 3 Miller, of Westgate Crescent, defecated and urinated in a hot tub in the victim’s back garden.

Three days later, on October 6, he turned up at her address and left personal items on her car.

A second charge relates to a different women and was carried out between September 23 and October 13.

Miller was accused of waiting outside her home and following her.

He admitted both charges at a hearing on Monday.

He was also sentenced in relation to damaging a cell in Darlington police station on October 4 and failing to surrender to custody at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court on October 14.

Magistrates made a community order, which means he will have to carry out 25 days of rehabilitation activity.

Restraining orders in relation to both victims were also made.

He will also have to pay costs of £400 and a £95 to fund victim services.
