As Christmas fast approaches, it is time to start thinking of how to get rid of the rubbish that accumulates over the festive period.
From wrapping paper to Christmas food shopping or plastic left behind from toy packaging, waste can really add up.
If you live in Teesside you can use any local recycling centre providing you have proof of address and photo ID, such as your driving license.
Teesside residents get the tips free of charge - but you'll need to display your residents permit just in case there's random checks.
Haverton Hill Household Waste Recycling Centre
Haverton Hill tip will close at 4pm on both Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.
The site will be closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.
Winter opening hours at Haverton Hill tip are 8am to 6pm.
Dunsdale Waste & Recycling Centre
The Dunsdale tip has switched to winter hours - open seven days a week, from 8am to 5pm.
Over the festive period, Dunsdale tip will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.
What can you get rid of at Recycling Centres?
Residents can use the household recycling centres free of charge and take most items such as cardboard, glass and plastic.
You must separate the waste and recycling to ensure you put it in the right container at the tip.

You can recycle Christmas cards as long as they have no glitter, foil or beads etc. Some local supermarkets and stores will accept your old Christmas cards for their charities.
If wrapping paper is made with a sparkly or plastic coating it cannot be recycled.
When it comes to baking foil, trays and cases, these can all be recycled providing they are free from food and grease.
Wine bottles, beer bottles and cans can go all together in your recycling bin.
Christmas trees can be taken to your local household waste recycling centre or chopped up and put in your garden waste bin.
