FOLLOWING Boris Johnson’s recent announcement that one million Covid booster jabs need to be administered daily to protect against Omicron, people are flocking to walk-in centres across the region or frantically trying to book appointments online.

Currently, you are eligible for a booster jab if you are aged 18 and over and it's been three months since you received a second dose of a Covid vaccine.
The availability of appointments and capacity of walk-in centres is ever-changing, but as of this morning, here’s where you can get a booster jab without an appointment in the North-East and North Yorkshire.
Durham, Arnison Large Vaccination Centre
From today, Tuesday December 14, through to Sunday, January 2 between 8.15am and 6pm daily. Limited walk-in slots available at intervals throughout the day.
Darlington
Darlington Arena is available for walk-ins based on supply, with appointments prioritised.
The clinics start at 8.30am but will close when there is only enough left for appointments based on their next supply delivery.
Middlesbrough
Wednesday, December, 15 at Newport Community Hub, St Pauls Road, from 10am-6pm.
Redcar
Wednesday, December, 15 at Redcar and Cleveland College, Corporation Road, from 10am – 5pm.
Stockton

Harrogate, North Yorkshire
From Monday this week through to Christmas eve, Friday, December 24 at the Yorkshire Event Centre in Harrogate between 8.30am and 4pm
