The best spa in the North East has been revealed by the Good Spa Guide Awards as Serenity Spa at Seaham Hall.

The annual Good Spa Guide Awards shine a light on the best spa days up and down the country - voted for by the British public.

10 spas in the North East made the awards shortlist - from relaxing havens in Durham, Darlington to Ripon and Grantley.

But there could only be one winner crowned as the best spa in the North East.

The award for best spa in the North East, sponsored by Gaia Skincare, was given to Serenity Spa at Seaham Hall.

Serenity Spa has a 4.5 rating on Tripadvisor with more than 40 different spa treatments to choose from.

One reviewer said: "When we arrived we were greeted by friendly staff who explained the process in place due to covid.

"They made us feel at ease immediately and drinks were offered. We were pleased to see some of the new features in the spa and especially loved the new outdoor area."

It is one of many awards handed to Serenity Spa - which previously won Best Spa for Customer Service in the Good Spa Guide Awards 2019, Best Spa for Style by The Sunday Times, Best Spa in the North East by Good Spa Guide 2016 and Best UK Spa Destination by Conde Nast Traveller.
