A MAN has been arrested after he climbed all the way to the top of York Minster last night.
Officers were called to the Minster shortly after 11pm following reports that a man had climbed climbed scaffolding to reach the top of the landmark building.

Other emergency services also attended, with the man's safety a top priority, and the public was asked to stay away from the scene.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said the incident was brought to a safe conclusion just after 3am today.
The man was brought down safely by officers and subsequently arrested for criminal damage.
