THE Met Office has revealed what the weather forecast holds for those travelling to Durham Lumiere later this week.

Visitors to the annual light event can look forward to four nights of a special illuminating lightshow from Thursday to Sunday, which will see interactive sound works, community-led pieces and 37 spectacular artworks.

This year, the Lumiere will also extend beyond the Durham City area and will feature pieces across the wider county for the first time.

Friday

On the second day, visitors have a little more chance of seeing rain, with a ten per cent chance of wet weather. However, the Met Office expect it to be dry and 11 degrees.

The Northern Echo:

Saturday

Like the Thursday and Friday, the Met Office has forecast Saturday as a clear sky evening but have suggested that it could be a few degrees colder at nine degrees.

The Northern Echo:

Sunday

The final day of the Lumiere seems to be a mixed weather one, which will see a 40 per cent chance of rain at midday, but only a ten per cent chance by the time the event starts at 4.30pm. Sunday will be the coldest evening out of all of them, six degrees, so it’s an idea to wrap up warm.
