A WOMAN in her 60s was rescued by a “good Samaritan” after a crash due to concerns of fuel leaking from the car.
Police say the incident happened at around 12.30pm on Sunday October 31 and involved a number of vehicles along Langdale Road in Scarborough.

The road was reportedly closed for around two hours whilst emergency services cleared the scene.
Due to concerns about fuel leaking from the vehicle, a passing member of the public rescued the 60-year-old woman following the crash.
The woman sustained minor injuries, according to police, and after being assessed at hospital was discharged later that day.
Officers also wanted to clear up misinformation that they say was circulating social media after the incident.
Misinformation is being circulated that the driver was assaulted by the person who rescued her, however police have said this is incorrect and the man was just a “good Samaritan who came to her aid.”
Emily Myers, Investigating officer said: “While social media can be an important tool, it is important not to encourage the spread of incorrect information which can not only cause unnecessary alarm or distress to others, but could potentially have a negative impact on an investigation.”
