A NORTH East town fully embraced the Halloween spirit this weekend with stunning costumes and a spooky events.
Darlington had its fair share of ghosts and ghouls this weekend as residents were asked to take part in a mass 'thriller' dance in the market square.
Hundreds took part in the choreographed performance dressed in their costumes.
The Darlington based 'Fit-lab' has been training people on the choreography of the dance.

Dancers could watch the training videos online and practice in their own homes ready for the event.
Those taking part were greeted by scary charters such as Jack Skellington from A Nightmare Before Christmas, the weeping angels from Doctor Who among others.
On top of this, the 100th Darlington Junior Parkrun was given a Halloween theme – and hordes of monstrous joggers turned out in South Park despite howling winds and rain.
Treats were handed out at the finishing line to make it all worthwhile for the monsters.
