AN appeal has been made after two men brandishing a blade and metal pole were spotted near a hospital in County Durham.
It happened near Bishop Auckland Hospital yesterday.
Officers would like to speak to any witnesses who are yet to come forward.
They are trying to identify the men driving the blue pickup truck.
CCTV shows the two men driving down Cockton Hill Road at about 3.20pm when they appear to exchange words with a man crossing the road outside Gibson's Funeral Services.
The pedestrian is then chased by the truck before the driver and passenger get out of the vehicle brandishing a metal pole and large blade, a spokesperson for Durham Police said.
They then get back into the pickup truck and drive off.
Anyone with information on this incident, or with dash cam footage, is asked to call Investigative Officer Cheryl Nixon on 101 with extension: 206572.
