A HUGELY popular restaurant which has seen thousands queue around the UK will open in the North East next week.
Jollibee has named the date its first restaurant in the region will open as huge queues are expected to form in anticipation of the name.
The chain, which is a big household name in the Philippines, saw thousands queue when it first opened its doors in Liverpool last year and London the year before.

As it opened in the North West, the Liverpool Echo claimed customers had said the chicken served by Jollibee was "better than KFC."
Located on Northumberland Street, opposite Santander, the restaurant will open in the former American Candy shop serving chicken, pasta and burgers on November 4.

For the past several months, work to complete the highly anticipated venue has been underway as signs went up earlier this month.
Dubbed "Asia's favourite fried chicken," Jollibee has become famous for serving up its Chickenjoy, Jolly Spaghetti, and Yumburger dishes.
Around 50 new jobs have been created as part of the opening, while the venue will be able to accommodate up to 95 people.
A spokesperson for RR Planning, who have submitted plans on behalf of Jollibee, previously told The Northern Echo that it had proved "extremely popular" in the UK.
They said: "It's a great thing for Newcastle and it will hopefully create lots of jobs in the city and help to regenerate the High Street.
"First one opened in the UK in Earls Court, people came from Paris to visit Jollibee there. It's extremely popular."
Jollibee Newcastle will open at 10am on Thursday, November 4.
