NORTH Yorkshire police successfully rescued five cows after they had become trapped following a crash on an A-road.
Police say the incident happened on the A19 between York and Easingwold yesterday afternoon.

Operational Support Unit officers reportedly responded quickly to the scene after a 4x4 towing a trailer overturned.
According to the force, five cows were trapped inside the trailer after it overturned.
A rescue team of local farmers and firefighters managed to free all five of the cows and moved them to safety, say police.
