CANADIAN rocker Bryan Adams is to play for fans in County Durham as part of a nationwide tour next year.
The guitarist, now 61, will perform at Emirates Riverside stadium in Chester-le-Street on July 5.
Adams famously spent 16 weeks at number one with Everything I Do (I Do It For You) from the 1991 movie Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.

The Platinum selling and Grammy Award winning musician has also had hits with All For Love, Please Forgive me and Summer of ’69.
Adams has had countless accolades and awards and has sold more than 65 million albums worldwide.
The tour is in support of his 15th studio album, So Happy It Hurts, set for release in March.
Tickets for the gig at the home of Durham Cricket go on sale at 9am on Friday from aegpresents.co.uk.
Fans in the region will also be able to catch him playing in Newcastle Utilita Arena Newcastle, on Friday, May 20.
