A Butlin's holiday park has been evacuated and the army bomb squad drafted in after a “suspicious device” was found.
The Butlin's resort in Bognor Regis was evacuated at 7.15 on Tuesday morning following reports of a package found in the car park.
Holidaymakers were evacuated from the resort allowing local police to investigate the suspicious package.
Police have confirmed the army bomb squad are on the scene “investigating the device.
Bognor Regis is a popular holiday hotspot for Brits opting to holiday in the UK.
Road blocks are also in place as a precaution.
Statement from police
A police spokesman said: “Police have responded to a report of a suspicious device found in the car park of Butlins, Bognor Regis, at about 7.15am on Tuesday October 5.
"Officers are at the scene assisting an evacuation of guests at the hotel as a precautionary measure and a cordon has been put in place.
"Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit are also at the scene investigating the device."
