EMERGENCY Services were called to a crash on the A66.
The ambulance service and the air ambulance attended the traffic collision on the A66 on Friday night at 11.14pm.
The crash occurred on Stainmore Road in Bowes.
One ambulance crew and the Great North Air Ambulance attended.
One person was transported by road to James Cook Hospital in Middlesbrough.
The road was closed westbound between the A1M Junction 53 at Scotch Corner and the A685 at Broughby by Highways England.
Durham Police attended the scene.
