THE MET Office have issued a new yellow warning for thunderstorms set to hit the North Eat and North Yorkshire over the weekend.
The warning is in place from 4am on Saturday morning until midnight.
Heavy, slow-moving showers have been warned by the weather forecaster, with some being thundery that may cause disruption to travel in the region.

The news comes just a day after the Met Office issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms tomorrow, which are set to be in place from 4am in the morning until midnight.
Here's what to expect according to the Met Office:
- Where flooding or lightning strikes occur, there is a chance of delays and some cancellations to train and bus services
- Spray and sudden flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures
- There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded quickly, with damage to some buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes, hail or strong winds
