REDCAR seafront is currently CLOSED after a police incident near to the Regent Cinema.
Police received a report of a collision involving a female pedestrian and a Ford Focus at around 1.35pm on Newcomen Terrace, Redcar.
A woman suffered a head injury and she has been taken to James Cook University Hospital as a precaution.
Police have taped off the area and the ambulance service are currently on the scene.
