WITH rain set to close in this weekend, people have been out making the most of the hot weather at one of the North-East's most beautiful beaches.
The Met Office have forecasted thunderstorms and heavy rain which is set to move across England this weekend, ending the glorious heatwave.

For the past few days much of the North-East and North Yorkshire have been basking in temperatures in excess if 27c.
Much of the region has been out enjoying the weather as Government Covid-19 restrictions lifted across the region with the start of "Freedom Day" on Monday.
Saturday will stay cloudy and dry with temperatures at 17c at the highest, whereas Sunday will see rain with temperatures also reaching 17c at the most in the region.
The rain will continue into next week which will see cloudier weather with milder temperatures.

Sun lovers have been out today at one of North Yorkshire's much-loved beaches at Saltburn to make the most of the weather.
