ALMOST £50,000 has been invested into revamping council-owned properties in Colburn and Gilling West.
Richmondshire District Council completed the £45,000 project as part of its Home Improvement Programme.
Flats at First Avenue in Colburn have had external decoration updated, including new facias, while bungalows in Oswin Grove and High Street, Gilling West have also had outdoor decoration as well as new soffits and gutters.
Council leader Angie Dale said: “The work, although unplanned, was brought forward as a result of feedback from tenants and as it was all external could be easily delivered during Covid.
“The general appearance of the homes was poor so we were pleased to be able to bring them forward in our home improvement programme – it has greatly improved the street appearance of both these sites.”
