ALMOST all lockdown restrictions, including the mandatory use of face coverings, will come to an end later this month.
The Prime Minister Boris Johnson last night confirmed step four of the Government's roadmap would go ahead on July 19.
In his speech, he confirmed that face coverings would no longer be mandatory, instead saying that it will be down to personal choice.
UPDATE: We asked North East people if they'd wear face coverings after July 19
This morning, the Health Secretary Sajid Javid said that he would continue to wear masks in crowded spaces, as the Government yesterday said it would advise to do.
Previously scientists have said face coverings help protect others, not the wear, as they cover the nose and mouth which are the main sources of transmission for the virus.
But The Northern Echo is asking you whether you will continue to wear a face covering beyond July 19 and the reasons behind your decision
We will then be publishing the results and a selection of the best comments on our website later this week.
