AN investigation has been launched by North Yorkshire Police after a woman was found dead at a property in Harrogate.
Police were alerted by paramedics from the Yorkshire Ambulance Service who were called to the property in Kings Road Harrogate at around 9.15am on Monday May 24.
They reported the sudden death of a woman at the property.
A man in his forties who was at the property was arrested by the police. He has been questioned on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug and released pending further enquiries being carried out.
In a separate incident four people were arrested in York on suspicion of drug offences as officers executed a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
Officers carried out a search of the property in Tang Hall where they seized drugs and mobile phones. Two men and two women have been detained in police custody while further investigations are done.
Officers say drug dealing remains a top priority for North Yorkshire Police and they are urging residents to report any suspicious activity in their neighbourhood or if they have concerns that drug dealing may be happening. Call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800555111 but they say always call 999 in an emergency.
