THE opening date for the region's First Hard Rock Cafe has been confirmed just one day after it was unveiled for the first time.
Restaurant bosses today confirmed they are now taking bookings for the brand new venue in Newcastle's Guildhall on the quayside.
In a statement confirming the news, bosses at the Hard Rock Cafe announced that tables at the restaurant would be available from this Friday (May 21).
Meanwhile opening times appeared on the website, with the restaurant opening from 12pm to 1.30am Monday to Saturday, and 12pm to 12.30am on Sunday.
Earlier this week, The Northern Echo had a first-look around what will be the first Hard Rock Cafe to open in the North-East as more details were unveiled.

Speaking to The Echo on Wednesday, Mark Grey, general manager, said interest had been "overwhelming" as it prepared to open its doors.

He said: "We’re really excited, hopefully we get to open this week and from then on, it’s going to be all guns blazing.
"The response we’ve had is amazing – it’s been overwhelming. We’re on track and we can’t wait to get the doors open."
