THE region's first Hard Rock Cafe has been officially unveiled - and so has its star-studded collection of memorabilia.
From a collection of more than 83,000 across the globe, Hard Rock International has curated a list of exhibits for the new Newcastle restaurant.
The collection, which is a mix of trinkets and belongings from North-East bands to worldwide names, has been displayed throughout the two-storey premises.

Unveiling the new restaurant for the first time today, the hightly-anticipated collection was also revealed.
So here are just some of things Hard Rock and music fans alike can look forward to seeing on their visit.
Amy Winehouse's love letter
Acquired into its collection in recent years, the love letter the late Amy Winehouse wrote to husband Blake Fielder-Civil is on display.
One of the restaurant's rarest exhibits, the handwritten letter is just a handful of such pieces that were made available following her death in 2011.
Sting's jacket
North-East legend, Sting is represented with his jacket which he wore at the Hollywood Bowl in 1994 - and a signed guitar.
Born Gordon Sumner in Wallsend, North Tyneside, Sting rose to fame in the late 70s with The Police before moving onto to a solo career.
Ed Sheeran's jacket
A more recent name, Ed Sheeran's jacket is shown proudly on the second floor of the Hard Rock Cafe.
Rising to fame in the past decade, Sheeran's jacket was owned and donated by the singer himself to raise money for the charity, Zest.
Taylor Swift's dress
Another worldwide favourite and household name, Taylor Swift who's floral dress is also among the North-East colection.
According to Hard Rock bosses, the dress was work by Swift during a meet and greet with fans backstage after her performance in Ohio in 2013.
Among the huge collection, other names including Mark Knopfler, Mitch Mitchell, Jake E Lee, Paul Oakenfold, Slash and Eddie Van Halen are represented.
Flown in especially to help train the team in Newcastle, Castro, a server from Hard Rock Cafe in Portugal likened the collection to a museum.
He told The Northern Echo: “Memorabilia is part of our culture, we started our collection 50 years ago and now we have more than 83,000 pieces around the world.
“You’ll find some of them here in Newcastle and they’re awesome, we have local artists like Sting and people should come and have a look.

“It’s almost like a museum, we have fine food, amazing drinks and cocktails and memorabilia is part of our history.”
