ANOTHER 'Magic Monday' of treats is in store for Northallerton shoppers next week as a campaign to boost the high street continues.

The Love Northallerton team will be repeating their highly successful Magic Monday promotion by showering shoppers and diners with random acts of kindness on May 17.

The team will be paying for free coffees, beers and snacks to support leisure venues as they open indoors for the first time this year.

As a bonus, shoppers will be given free Love Northallerton shopping bags to say thanks for supporting the town’s businesses.

Northallerton BID manager Graham Bell said: “Hospitality has been particularly hard hit by the pandemic and we want to give cafes, pubs, hotels and restaurants our maximum support on their big reopening day.

“We had a fantastic reaction to our first Magic Monday on 12 April when we celebrated the return of non-essential retail.

"People were genuinely thrilled when we offered to pay for their snacks and shopping.

“It sends out a very positive signal about Northallerton as a great place to shop and visit.”
