A FORMER Topman store which once proved extremely popular in Darlington is on the market for half a million pounds.
The Grade II-listed building on Northgate is aiming to fetch around £495,000 and promises whoever buys it a "prominent" location in the town.
Situated in the former Post Office building, the shop includes a ground floor sales area and first floor space which houses the staffroom and office.
Marketed by Reid Birkett, the former Topman was actually closed years before the brand was purchased by Asos resulting in the loss of all of its high street stores.

The listing reads: "These Grade II listed premises are situated in a very prominent position on the busy pedestrianised pitch of Northgate close to one of the main entrances to both the Cornmill and Queen Street Shopping Centres.
"The property is in immediate proximity to many national occupiers including Lloyds Bank, Boots, Costa, Holland & Barrett and Next."
But if the price tag appears costly, the landlord is offering prospective buyers and tenants the chance to rent the unit back or around £39,500 per year.
