Police are appealing for witnesses
POLICE are appealing for witnesses and information about an assault that happened on The Green in Richmond.
It took place about 8.30am on Monday April 19 and involved two vehicles that met on the corner of Cravengate.
A female driver was verbally abused and spat at by another motorist.
A police spokesman said: "We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
"In particular, we are appealing for witnesses to come forward who witnessed this incident.
"It is understood that a number of people including other motorists and pedestrians were in the area at the time and another motorist offered reassurance to the victim after the assault."
