LAST week hairdressers across the North-East and North Yorkshire reopened their doors after being closed for more than three months.
Since Monday, April 12, barbers and stylists have been hard at work taming lockdown locks and DIY-dos.
Whether it's untamed mops or botched DIY-dos, salons across the region have been booked up well in advance as customers are keen to get their hair under control.
While some lucky souls were first through the door for a cut and colour, short back and sides or a totally new look, others are still holding tight for an appointment.
But where is best to get a fresh cut? We’ve taken a look through the Google reviews for hairdressers across Durham, Chester-le-Street, Stockton, Middlesbrough, Darlington and Northallerton to find some of the best.

One customer said Alchemy Salons is their "favourite hairdressers", adding: "clean friendly and always come away satisfied. 5stars every time". Others praised the salon, the staff and boasted a positive experience with patient and helpful stylists.
