THIS lovely 1940s wedding photo – a double wedding, in fact – was taken by The Northern Echo as the paper’s name is in the bottom right hand corner. You would assume, therefore, that the wedding took place somewhere in the North-East: Durham, Darlington, North Yorkshire and the Tees Valley.
Sylvia Zereyak has returned it to us after all these years in the hope that we can provide some information about it.
“I have had for many years from my father and I know nothing about it apart from the ‘Love from Roly and Ivy’ that is written on the back,” she says.
Can anyone tell us anything about it? Even if you don’t know who Roly and Ivy were, surely someone can identify where the wedding took place?
